The beautiful Southern California coastline with a rich mission and Spanish history is the backdrop for this needlework map which explores details found in vintage pen and ink hand-drawn and painted maps: Roman, script, and block lettering, a parchment-like cartouche of the title, stylized motifs of the 21 missions and geographic and historical motifs! The water areas are hand-painted as was done on early maps. The map may be personalized to include home towns, special motifs, and lettering making each a unique and personal heirloom.
