Catherine Jordan is an Embroiderer's Guild of America (EGA) certified Master Craftsman in the Counted Thread, Crewel, Color and Design programs and past president of the Virginia Guild of Needlewomen in Richmond, Virginia. She is the current president of the EGA Gentle Pursuits of Richmond Chapter and a juried member of EGA’s artist’s group, Fiber Forum. She raises cashmere goats for hand spinning, felting, and dyeing. Catherine is a three time recipient of Woodlawn’s Frank Lloyd Wright award for best original design and was awarded Best in Show in 2008 for an original fabric painted design. Three pieces of her work were juried into the 19th Annual EGA National traveling exhibit, Through the Needle's Eye and was awarded a Juror's Award and the Mid-Atlantic Region Award. Her work is on the cover of the March 2011 Needle Arts magazine (pictured below). Catherine teaches at local needlework chapters and regional and national seminars
